Another Christmas Eve

Today was a wonderful day.  Hubby and I took a walk around the block this morning, just 6 miles around!  The weather was wonderful, not too cold and even got a bit hot on the final stretch.  On the way home I remembered that I had forgotten to wrap a present for each of the littles.  Project #1.  Project #2 clean the house.  That didn't take too long.  Just needed to pick up after myself and do some vacuuming.

Tonight was church, I did pretty good until they played Hallelujah.  I knew I should have remembered a kleenex.

Supper was pretty simple for us tonight, shrimp coctail and a glass of wine.  Well, almost a full bottle of wine.

I take part in this FitBit challenge and today our group had to achieve a total of 67,500 steps.  This has been a 12 day challenge and they increased our goal each day by 500 steps.  Proved to not be a problem today, since we took a walk around the block.

I am looking forward to having the kids here tomorrow for a bit, I know they have their own things to do.  They need to start their own traditions as when they get to be empty nesters like us, they won't have their own traditions, just like us.  Our traditions were with our parents, we never had our own family traditions, we started them after the kids were on their own, only to have the unthinkable happen and have to figure out where to go from there.
